My paintings involve perspectives about interior spaces and exterior spaces.
In my paintings I am interested in interpreting what I see around me – the architecture, houses and rooms that compose the human made environment. More recently I have painted landscapes – the actual structure of the earth. .
My paintings are composed of lines and shapes that connect to form the structure. The larger structures like the exterior of houses or the landscapes are composed of solid and opaque planes. I use acrylic paint that is laid on both thick and thin. My colors are usually opaque and bright; however they can also be dark and transparent.
I think of my paintings as a daily journal by which I record the world that I see around me, which I share with the viewer as my recording. The artist that inspire me are both contemporary and very modern to historical.
